What do we do?
Robust Training trains people from a wide range of backgrounds and knowledge in a variety of tasks, from basic skills right through to apprenticeships.
Courses range from NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3, to Skills for Life courses providing literacy and numeracy.
Robust Training also offers government and EU funded training initiatives, such as Train to Gain, and for those who seek management positions, qualifications such as Certificates of Professional Competence.
These will cover a variety of needs and skills carefully chosen to meet the requirements of the individual student. We also try to match the length of the course to the abilities and speed of the student. More
Once the student has achieved the required standard, they can obtain their qualification and move on; therefore there is no need to wait until the end of the term or academic year.
The Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a Department of Transport recognised qualification designed to show that the individual has attained a level of knowledge in the major areas of his or her profession.
New regulations that came into force in September 2008 require ALL new drivers of buses and coaches to obtain their CPC, and all current holders to undergo at least five days (35 hours) training over the next five years. From October 2009, the CPC qualification will be mandatory for all LGV and HGV licensed drivers.
Robust Training is ideally suited to deliver these qualifications thanks to our background in passenger transport and the investment in our state-of-the art training facilities.

We believe that the main issue at the heart of the matter is the evident lack of self-respect and self-esteem among many youngsters. Which results in them being stigmatised by the public at large and, ultimately, by themselves. Our new approach will help to tackle this problem.
